Who am I?

I am a man who fell in love with the camera. I am a man who tried this drug called photography and became addicted, unable to stop. I am someone who dares to open the gates of people’s souls — and once opened, I step inside with humility.

The people I photograph allow me to enter their inner world; they let me open the doors of their hearts. I walk softly, and with the same softness I photograph them just as they are: human beings with souls, human beings with life stories that make me feel like a real human myself — someone searching for others who still dream of living with humanity on this earth.

A clear testament to my artistic vision and technical mastery is my portrait We Dare to Hug, from the series Call Me by Your Name, for which I won Second Prize at the 2025 Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize, organized by the National Portrait Gallery.

In We Dare to Hug, I present a black-and-white portrait of two men in their 60s sharing a tender, intimate embrace. The image — a silent yet powerful narrative — speaks of love, trust, time, and the beauty of mature intimacy. The composition evokes sculpture: their bodies interlace, light and shadow play across their skin, highlighting connection, vulnerability, and dignity.

My sensitivity as a human being — my respect for identity, love, and lived experience — guides the way I approach my subjects. I never see them as objects but as whole human beings with stories, vulnerabilities, and strength.

Technically, I strive for mastery in composition, light, and contrast. My choice of black-and-white portraiture removes distraction and brings the viewer face to face with emotion, gesture, presence — revealing the soul rather than the surface. The quiet power of my images comes from subtlety, restraint, and deep empathy.

Photography is not just my craft.
It is the way I listen to people, the way I feel the world, and the way I search — endlessly — for the fragile beauty of being human.
