In a world where people seem to search for happiness as if it were hidden in a painting, I have chosen to search for human pain in my photographs. I chose pain because only through it will I know when I finally encounter happiness.
In my photographs—mostly portraits—you will find beautiful people whose destiny seems to have denied them any right to speak, leaving them on the streets where the sky is their roof and the pavement is the bed where you see them sleeping. Sometimes, in my photos, you may meet people who timidly allow themselves to be photographed nude.
What you encounter in my photographs is a great deal of emotion—emotion that gently takes you by the hand and tells you: don’t be afraid to feel today, tomorrow, and whatever may come.
